ronner Posted April 26, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 26, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I have an M8 and a 75 lux. The 75 lux was an overkill for me, so I ended up buying the lighter 75 cron.....which works great for me. When I bought the cron, I promised (to myself) to sell the lux. What's the best the way to sell it for a good, fair price quickly?

sdai Posted April 26, 2007 Share #3 Posted April 26, 2007 You can post a 5 day auction on eBay starting from $0.01 ... sit back and just watch the bidding price sky rocketing - no other entertainment could provide more fun than that.
Bill W Posted April 27, 2007 Share #4 Posted April 27, 2007 I have had very good experiences selling M equipment on ebay. I would limit bidders as to 0 or negative feedback. I also do not sell to anyone outside the USA as my experiences trying to ship overseas were not that good. Nothing personal international forum members. You do need to exercise caution on ebay and know who you are dealing with through feedback but you might already be a user of ebay. I only accept paypal and ship to their confirmed address. bradreiman Posted April 27, 2007 Share #5 Posted April 27, 2007 i agree with the above. leica equipment on ebay seems to reach the going rate and beyond almost always. i miss those days (last year) when you could get a mint noctilux for $2000. everything goes for almost retail price now with the m8.....b
Chuck Hatcher Posted April 27, 2007 Share #6 Posted April 27, 2007 ...I would limit bidders as to 0 or negative feedback. I also do not sell to anyone outside the USA as my experiences trying to ship overseas were not that good... If you limit bidding in any way, either by refusing international or new bidders, or by not accepting Paypal, or by setting a reserve price, or by having a long list of unpleasant rules, or by not having good photos, or by gouging on shipping, or any number of other things that discourage bidders, you generally hurt yourself as far as final price. It takes two high bids to make one high sale price. If someone overseas has interest in your item, sure you may not want to ship it there, and you may be willing to give up one bid increment to avoid it, but what if it was their #2 bid that was needed to push up the #1 bid? Just my take as a long time auction buyer and seller.
