Yes, the file sizes are the same.

How can you tell?

The MD5 sum for the files is the same. There's no point in trying this, the website CMS uses the numbers in the URI path to index the content. You'll just have to wait until the real URL goes live.

This is right - and the file name is correct. The eagle has landed by the looks of things. Enjoy. I have the feeling that there will be some happy M owners ;)

Looks like the English Language website's stalled with the number of eager M owners. Who would have thought there were so many!

You know what is so funny to me? For the way I use my M240's, I personally find them flawless. I don't expect that to be the case for everyone, so I understand the want for a FW upgrade and some of the requests being made, but for me, I am not really that much in need.

Anyhow, the funny part is that with all this talk about how great the upgrade will be, I have managed to get all excited about it regardless of my indifference.

Anyhow, I have a feeling that Leica put some serious thought into it and that it will make people happy. I hope everyone gets what they want.

Well, I downloaded the french version and installed it and........

No change, it just shows as .12

Camera still works tho ;-)

Edit: same result with the English version linked to from above. The website still wont let me download .15 or the instructions. I guess that's why......

Bit of a mystery... The file on my computer ends with 15. File as loaded in camera ends with 12.

Woops - sorry about that. I did the download but didn't try to install it.

I'll now shut up until the official version is available.

Let me try this once again ;-)

Look, you can tell the files on these bogus URLs are just the same as the 2.0.0.12 firmware by looking at the MD5 sum, e.g. on a Mac in a terminal:

$ md5 FW_M240_2_0_0_12.FW

MD5 (FW_M240_2_0_0_12.FW) = 9af8db090d81729db56e15852e77467a

$ md5 FW_M240_2_0_0_15.FW

MD5 (FW_M240_2_0_0_15.FW) = 9af8db090d81729db56e15852e77467a

Plus, if you notice, the bogus filename is 2_0_0_15, whereas the Leica website says the new version is 2.0.1.5 and the firmware will be M_240-2.0.1.5-CUSTOMER.FW

I don't know how to spell it out any clearer! :rolleyes:

Monday most probably, fellas...;) The real 2.0.0.15 is considerably larger than 2.0.0.12.

Clearly somebody has been preparing the site without replacing the file-yet.

Are you sure, you don't mean, " The real 2.0.1.5 is considerably larger than 2.0.0.12."?

I hate to pick nits, but this can be confusing, and those are very different.

The difference is zero....: p

The difference is the way you quoted is just a few bug fixed, nothing to care about. The way it shows on the web site, says it contains enhancements, maybe adjustment to an existing function, something important.

Which is it?
