Jim123456 Posted April 12, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 12, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I just received my M240 last week and it works fine. However, I found a stuff seems like film tilts on the upper right side of rangefinder.I tried to tear it off but failed and it seems covered closely.I am not sure it is a film or there is film on that. It's very tiny. So anyone knows that whether there is a film covered on the rangefinder or mine is a little defect?

lct Posted April 12, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 12, 2014 There is no film at all on the RF windows of my M240. Would you have any pic of yours?

Jim123456 Posted April 13, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted April 13, 2014 have you look closely enough? it looks like small crack to me. No, it's not like a glass or plastic crack. It's actually like a thin film broken and exposing an edge. It's hard to express. I just worried if it's like a protector film, if it is, that's ok. But if it's glass defect, I would probably get a exchange.
Herr Barnack Posted April 13, 2014 Share #7 Posted April 13, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm not sure what it is - but it does not look right. If it were me, I would take it back to the dealer and ask for an exchange.
jaapv Posted April 13, 2014 Share #8 Posted April 13, 2014 it looks like a minuscule flaw in the coating. It would not bother me, but if you are in the habit of selling your camera when you upgrade to a new model, I would have it attended to.
diogenis Posted April 13, 2014 Share #9 Posted April 13, 2014 Get it back from where you bought it to get a replacement. Under warranty ofcourse. Coatings are nanometers thick. This one is a crack
