lct Posted March 30, 2014 Share #2 Posted March 30, 2014 This is not normal at all. Even if you don't see the scratches on your pics they will alter the value of your lens.

Guest Mr. B Posted April 3, 2014 Share #4 Posted April 3, 2014 Send it back right now. Leica should stand by their product as it is under warranty. Mr. B
IWC Doppel Posted April 3, 2014 Share #5 Posted April 3, 2014 Do send it back even if it has no noticeable effect, you will know its there and if you sell you will feel uncomfortable not disclosing. It might be a mark requiring cleaning in any case Leica will sort I have no doubt
pico Posted April 3, 2014 Share #6 Posted April 3, 2014 Are you saying that the two pictures are of two different lenses?
Lee Martin Posted April 3, 2014 Share #7 Posted April 3, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica quality control found to be hopeless yet again. Lenses don't get any more expensive and they should be absolutely perfect. It's a no brainer send it back
pico Posted April 3, 2014 Share #8 Posted April 3, 2014 Leica quality control found to be hopeless yet again. Lenses don't get any more expensive and they should be absolutely perfect. It's a no brainer send it back That is a premature judgement. I want to know whether the two images are of two different lenses. IMHO those 'scratches' are artifacts of his close-up lens and lighting. Sent from my Etcha-sketch.
