Bill W Posted March 21, 2014 Share #21 Posted March 21, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) A solid silver M body would be nice. I must enquire with my jeweller if he can fashion me one. Can you fit a full frame sensor in a solid silver body?
Advertisement Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Hi Bill W, Take a look here Black or Silver?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lenicolas Posted March 21, 2014 Share #22 Posted March 21, 2014 Does this mean you get more metal with a silver? Yes, but that also means the metal in the black one is more precious since you get less for the same price.
farnz Posted March 21, 2014 Share #23 Posted March 21, 2014 A solid silver M body would be nice. .... I think the Lone Ranger had one of those. You could dub it the "Hi-Ho" edition. Pete.
genefama Posted March 22, 2014 Share #24 Posted March 22, 2014 Conspicuous and non-conspicuous aren't only about blending in to the background (which, when your shooting, is your face, not your clothes). "Pro" cameras are almost all black. The silver M seems more retro and less serious, which makes it less threatening and therefore less conspicuous. I own both colors and people seem more at ease with the silver. It's friendlier looking. Plus, women seem to warm up to it more, which is a factor if you photograph a lot of females.
