It just means that the "rated" lifespan for the shutter is 150K. Where a shutter actually fails is totally another matter and has a wide statistical spread. Think of it like tires on a car. Anyway, don't be concerned about the actuation count. I have two original M8's. Don't know the count, don't care. they are working just fine. Think analog. Yes they still do, the only thing they can't service on the M8 is the screen. They still have Sensors and Shutters, In 2013 the Shutter of Lorenzvs his leica was replaced for free. Bought an M9 which pleases me much more, then I learned to do camera profiles and am using the camera again. Somewhere around 8000 now. If you want to use wider lenses or make bigger prints, M9 is the way. I rarely use wider then 35 mm on M9 so I am ok with either. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
