sanyasi Posted February 3, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 3, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am curious whether anyone has had experience with this method of cleaning sensors (reported on PetaPixel): Sensor Gel Stick: Safely Clean Your Sensor Like They Do at the Service Center Interestingly, one of the comments says Leica uses these in preparing cameras in the factory. I have always been reluctant to use sticky solutions because of the issue of leaving residue behind, but people seem to like this product.

Jeff S Posted February 3, 2014 Share #2 Posted February 3, 2014 Jaap and others have reported success using the Eyelead, as discussed here. I think this is what Leica uses, but I don't know if it's the same as the brand you linked. I don't think the Eyelead is distributed in the US, at least not by that name. Jeff S Posted February 4, 2014 Share #5 Posted February 4, 2014 Nasim Mansurov is selling the Eyelead on his site in the US. Just got one. I think that's the site that the OP linked. So you're confirming it's the same Eyelead brand (although I didn't see that name specifically)? Jeff
sanyasi Posted February 4, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted February 4, 2014 I ordered the stick from the website associated with the website I linked to in the original post. The video made the case for me. I don't know that this will eliminate wet cleanings, but it should reduce the need for them. Also looks like a good travel solution.
