Advertisement Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Hi bephoto, Take a look here Lens Daddy for Leica M. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wlaidlaw Posted January 23, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 23, 2014 Could you please explain what adapters and lens you are using. This seems to work better than my Hartblei Super-Rotator 80mm TS lens (in R mount). Wilson
zeitz Posted January 23, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 23, 2014 BEPhoto, tilts are used to adjust the focus plane to an object plane that is not perpendicular to the focal plane. Think of objects on a table for product photo. Properly adjusted tilt, rather than tilting the camera, will extend the depth of field over the objects. The technique works best with view cameras that also have tilting backs.

wlaidlaw Posted January 23, 2014 Share #10 Posted January 23, 2014 I think one point is that I feel you can get more tilt with the Kippon adapter than the 8º I can get with the Hartblei. Also, I could not justify the purchase of the Zeiss lensed Super Rotator, so the one I have is based on an old Kiev 80mm MF lens and its performance is barely adequate. I would guess the potential results from a Zeiss Hasselblad lens are much better. Wilson

Wilson not worth it spending $6K on a used 40mm IF just because you wanna do tilt on a leica my hassys are paid more than 50 times their value during years well Hartblei is the same glass as Hasselblad, they are actually the same lenses on a different mount there is a another great option which is New Schneider PC lenses I'm really considering getting a 90mm Makro-Symmar and 28mm Super-Angulon Jos. Schneider Optische Werke Kreuznach: Tilt/Shift Objektive

One using Kiev lenses Hartblei Super-Rotator Tilt Shift Professional Lenses & Adapter Rings and a much more expensive range made in a different factory using optics made by Zeiss HCam & Hartblei - Photography Pro Gear .
