Louis Posted January 14, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 14, 2014 Fantastic; I love it! Great observation, nice composition and gorgeous colors! Without mentioning the nice figure of the mannequin!... Oh sorry; it seems that is not the mannequin but a reflection in the window!....
stuny Posted January 15, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 15, 2014 Very neat. If you can revisit it in the dark.
pauledell Posted January 15, 2014 Share #4 Posted January 15, 2014 Ece, A fine shot of the mannequin in a ballroom gown and tennis shoes. A great self-portrait. Where you dreaming about being in the gown? Paul
allamande Posted January 15, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted January 15, 2014 Louis, Stuart, and Paul, Thank you for looking in and for your generous feedback. Always much appreciated! Louis, there are some technical issues that I am unhappy with (including why the bottom half of the frame looks darker ) but overall the story looked interesting enough for me to want to share. Happy that you liked it. Stuart, I wanted to include the view across. This is near historic downtown where many old movie theaters (on Broadway) and fabulous art deco buildings are languishing, in dire conditions. One can't see this from this image but there are some hints here and there. I was also very much under the influence of a Lee Friedlander exhibit I saw over the winter break, his latest work, consisting solely of window reflections (he is back to working with his Leica), expanding on his earlier work with this type of content. So inspirational... Paul, no glass slippers here, that's for sure Ece
