otto.f Posted January 8, 2014 Share #23 Posted January 8, 2014 In the end you won't frame them all, at least I wouldn't. But I would certainly frame the third from post #

ns_ng Posted January 9, 2014 Author Share #26 Posted January 9, 2014 the ponys running in the mist & portrait from that series are also lovely. You should post them here too! The riders and the horses were staged for the photographers. As I only have the 180 Apo-Elmarit, it was not long enough to have closer shots of the horses running across the snow covered land. The EVF with the M240 is not really designed to follow moving subjects. A few more images from this trip. The last image is a portrait of an old man I met while walking around a small village. We started talking and he invited me to visit his house. In this village of about 300, he and his son owned about 80 sheep. Even though this village is very remote, it has electricity, running water and cell phone signal. Welcome, dear visitor! Bravo. ***** John Basso. Thanks John. It was cold, but I bet winter in your part of the world is just as cold as well. Fortunately, the M240 worked well and I was able to capture these images. Jan W. Tromp Posted January 24, 2014 Share #32 Posted January 24, 2014 Thanks for all the kind comments. Here are a few more from this series, The location of the first 3 images is at a frozen river early in the morning. With the sunlight just over the horizon, the soft light gave the place a pastel like landscape. The colour changes as the sun rose higher. Here is the link to the images from my Inner Mongolia trip, Zenfolio | N.S. Ng | Winter, Inner Mongolia Dec 2013 I will have to back to this place to shoot the autumn colours. The last two in b/w seems the best to me. In all however the snow doesn't look like snow (to me). A bit blue, a bit green and in the b/w like sand. It doesn't bother me at all in the b/w which are to me great landscapes. Did you try to get it white or do you like it this way?
