rgacpa Posted December 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 25, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Very curious if anyone experiences this with their M. I have set a user preset for Live View. For simplicity let's just say I put the camera on Live View (with an EVF mounted) and saved as a user preset. When I open up that preset, I can hear the shutter open up and Live View begins to work properly. Press the EVF button and it shows in the EVF. Now here's the odd behavior. When I press the Live View button on the back to turn off Live View, the displays properly turn black BUT the shutter remains open until I turn the camera off. If I turn the camera on with a non-Live View preset and press Live View, I can hear the shutter open and if I press the Live View button again, I hear the shutter close. This is different behavior than when I use the preset. Anyone else experience this? The preset seems to be taking precedence and just leaving the shutter open even when you "turn off" live view… Thanks, Bob

jaapv Posted December 25, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 25, 2013 You have set the exposure metering to advanced. That needs an open shutter as well.

jip Posted December 25, 2013 Share #4 Posted December 25, 2013 +1 (read the manual) I think it tells about advanced light metering I never use advanced light metering unless I'm using live view. It slow everything down... When NOT using live view. So 90% out of the time it's classic for me.
