earleygallery Posted April 22, 2007 Share #41 Posted April 22, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just had an idea, how about an M8 blog? Each M8 can have its own blog identified by serial number and its users name, then we can read daily updates about each camera "Wednesday, so far camera has not failed to turn on/off" Thursday "cleaned sensor, some dust evident" Friday "Still some dust, might clean sensor again. Tried to provoke green band on edge of photo, no joy" Saturday "No time to clean sensor today, sorry" Sunday "cleaned sensor, decided to stick black tape over the red dot. Took photo of black jacket (polyester) without IR filter" .........you get the drift

andybarton Posted April 22, 2007 Share #43 Posted April 22, 2007 Thread jacking happens a lot here - talking about the M8 posts when this thread was clearly about technical issues is a good example. Not much we can do about that, I'm afraid. The majority of people who post here at the moment seem to want to post about the M8. In any context. elansprint72 Posted April 23, 2007 Share #44 Posted April 23, 2007 . Thread jacking happens a lot here - talking about the M8 posts when this thread was clearly about technical issues is a good example. Check post #21, from the originator of this thread. Not a problem in this instance, I guess. I would agree that when a thread goes completely off topic and becomes a chat between two individuals who should be using PMs then it is annoying. Looking at the M8 threads started in the Digital Forum over the last two days, it reads like the contents of a spam box; I don't see the posts about penny shares and relatives in Africa looking to give me millions but I'm sure they are in there. Sandokan Posted April 24, 2007 Share #46 Posted April 24, 2007 1. How about a Photo-Critique forum? That way when you post a photo and nobody leaves a comment, you can repost to Critique and get feedback of why people think the photo is boring - you all seem far too nice to do so normally. That is one way to improve your photography (?). 2. How about an auto-sizing of the photo on display to fit in your browser window - I hate scrolling up and down to see the whole image and if I like to see the photo bigger I can re-size my browser window? 3. I dont agree about need for a seperate M8 forum - I dont have an M8 & dont care, but as long as thread is labelled M8, I can ignore it. 4. In each Forum Home Page, how about showing the "tags" - see number 3?
