I've been shooting Leicas for 40 years. Like many of us I have some cool old lenses. Has the 240 been around long enough for the very smart people here to have worked out codes for, say, my lenses that I use a lot:

50/14 Canon LTM-late black one

50/1.8 Canon LTM-early chrome

35/3.5 Summaron LTM

50/2.8 Elmar

50/3.5 Elmar.

Or any other.

And by that I mean Nikon slr, Canon slr, you get the idea.

There are no codes to work out, just the nearest Leica equivalent lens which can be used as a donor code. So try your Canon f/1.4 as a 50mm Summilux and see if you like it, and so on. The actual coding makes less and less difference as the focal length increases, starting from 35mm upwards, so you may not see a lot of difference even if you code your 35mm Summaron as a Summicron.

What Steve says.

I shoot a few white wall pictures and try different codes (trying to stick to codes within the same focal length, which makes exif management easier), then make a note of the one that seems to work best for future usage.

Also bear in mind that all old lenses were not created equal, and had numerous versions, so it would be rather pointless to try and standardize code assignments for these. And the vast majority of old lenses were 35 or 50 mm anyway (as your own set appears to testify), which doesn't make coding that critical for image correction purposes.

I would code your 50/2.8 and 50/3.5 like the last Elmar 50/2.8 (100010). I have no experience with your other lenses sorry.
