The Look

Jorge -

Excellent capture, and the smooth skin tones and warm light give it a nearly surreal look. Of course the fields of flowers out of focus enhance the overall shot.

I'm getting a David Lynch feeling from this photograph.

Same here. I couldn't quite put my finger on it until you said that Andy.

Bright colors, too.

Thanks for sharing with us Jorge.

Hello Jorge,

I very much like your picture. The expression and concentration of the boy is captured very nicely, while his clothes and the (late afternoon?)

light give the picture a Kodachrome - retro look (did you take this picture in the 40ies? :D )

A further observation would be, that the picture has almost a two-plane depth. The boy and tractor are sharp in the foreground, and the

background could almost be a backdrop as it is almost uniformly "out of focus". Don't misunderstand me, I really like your picture, I'm

just wondering if a smoother transition from foreground to background would be possible in a case such as this, and also how the picture

would look like if that was achieved.

Kind regards, C.
