jmr Posted July 25, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 25, 2006 Jorge, great concentration. I like the slightly yellow light you've caught here.
stuny Posted July 25, 2006 Share #3 Posted July 25, 2006 Jorge - Excellent capture, and the smooth skin tones and warm light give it a nearly surreal look. Of course the fields of flowers out of focus enhance the overall shot.
derek_stanton Posted July 26, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 26, 2006 That IS surreal. Reminds me of Loretta Lux. What'd you shoot that with (lens+film)? Any PS work?

dan_drabek Posted July 26, 2006 Share #6 Posted July 26, 2006 I agree with Derek, it has a surreal quality. I like the graphic effect of the stripes of color in the background. Nice job. DD

robert_parker Posted July 27, 2006 Share #8 Posted July 27, 2006 The background and the way the subject is lit, combined with the expression gives a great overall effect.

abrewer Posted July 27, 2006 Share #10 Posted July 27, 2006 I'm getting a David Lynch feeling from this photograph. Same here. I couldn't quite put my finger on it until you said that Andy. Bright colors, too. Thanks for sharing with us Jorge. Allan
christoph_d Posted July 28, 2006 Share #11 Posted July 28, 2006 Hello Jorge, I very much like your picture. The expression and concentration of the boy is captured very nicely, while his clothes and the (late afternoon?) light give the picture a Kodachrome - retro look (did you take this picture in the 40ies? ) A further observation would be, that the picture has almost a two-plane depth. The boy and tractor are sharp in the foreground, and the background could almost be a backdrop as it is almost uniformly "out of focus". Don't misunderstand me, I really like your picture, I'm just wondering if a smoother transition from foreground to background would be possible in a case such as this, and also how the picture would look like if that was achieved. Kind regards, C.
