Hans Roggen Posted April 18, 2007 Share #21 Posted April 18, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) First i got the Crumpler Twoten daily but after a couple of weeks of use i found it a little too big. And it doesn't cling to your body like most Domke bags do. Now i have the Domke F-803. I added the four-segment insert of the F2 and now it holds my M8 and 6 lenses.I love it. It's smal and doen't look like a acamerabag. Some pictures (not mine) here: http://web.telia.com/~u32008343/domke.htm This one only has the insert for a camera. I added an extra, so all lenses are seprated, Hans

wlaidlaw Posted April 18, 2007 Share #22 Posted April 18, 2007 Thanks so much to everybody. I appreciate all your answers. Seems that the Billinghams are very common. I will buy a bag today. Billinghams common - surely not - favoured maybe. Wilson
john_nyc Posted April 18, 2007 Share #23 Posted April 18, 2007 Another vote for Billingham here. Billingham for Leica bag when I'm just carrying my camera kit, Hadley Pro as my daily commute bag because it'll fit my camera, 3/4 lenses, laptop, and other various things. I think the Hadley is the best bag I've ever had.

macusque Posted April 18, 2007 Share #25 Posted April 18, 2007 I use a small National Geographic bag: Explorer Small It easily contains my M8 with the 28 Summicron mounted, 15 CV, 50 Summilux asph and 90 Apo, plus a small table tripod, cable release, a spare battery, some SD cards, lens cleaning papers, etc. I like it because it doesn't protrude much from my body, it's taller more than thicker. It's also very light, although probably the gear is somewhat less protected than other bigger bags.
Eoin Posted April 18, 2007 Share #26 Posted April 18, 2007 Camera & lenses reside in a Billingham when not being used, but the norm is for walkabout 1 lens on camera slung over the shoulder and another lens in the pocket.
gloec Posted April 18, 2007 Share #27 Posted April 18, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Billingham Hadley Pro for my M8, Summicron 50, Elamrit 28 and CV 15 and it has extra space for another one or two lenses, a flash and my Dell D420 laptop. Also, it does not look like a photographic bag...

EricC Posted April 18, 2007 Share #30 Posted April 18, 2007 Now i have the Domke F-803. Hans I have the J-803 in Ballistic nylon with the 3 compatment insert, good enough for M8 + lens and 4 other lenses (back to back) in the main compartment, plus lots of extra room in all of the other pockets and two front pockets. grdglass Posted April 18, 2007 Share #31 Posted April 18, 2007 Domke F-5XB. Small, easy to get into. Changeable strap. Lightweight. Soft material. Holds M8 with lens attached plus 4 or more lenses stacked. Would like it a little bigger so it would hold more extras. Helene

marknorton Posted April 18, 2007 Share #33 Posted April 18, 2007 I use LowePro Omni series, I have the three smaller ones and I use whichever one I need to take the kit along. For shooting with just a single body/lens and an extra lens or flash, I like the Crumpler Pretty Boy. Ridiculous name but there it is.
Arne Helme Posted April 18, 2007 Share #34 Posted April 18, 2007 What is your favourite bag for your M8? I rececntly discovered the new Lowepro SlingShot 100 AW bag. It easily holds M8 plus 3 lenses and accessories and provides easy access to the equipment when the bag is pulled to the front. -- Arne
joelbartlett Posted April 20, 2007 Share #35 Posted April 20, 2007 Fogg Flute - carries a minimal kit (M8 with wrist strap, 28mm f/2.8 ASPH, plus additional SD card and battery) when hiking. I attach it using the velcro poly-clasp to my left shoulder strap which provides quick access while my pack is on. Off the pack, it makes a nice small shoulder bag. Peter Branch Posted April 20, 2007 Share #37 Posted April 20, 2007 Depending on how many lenses I am transporting, and how discrete I feel it is wise to be, I use one of my three Billingham bags. Sometimes I take the big one with all the kit as hand luggage and pack a smaller one in my other luggage so that when I get to my destination I have a choice.
