echorec Posted November 11, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 11, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello friends, I just found this on my shelf... Looks like M42 but I have not tested on a M42 camera. Was this something offered by Leitz or other camera maker? Does not look home made to me. Also, unless this variant has some collectors value, I would like to use it as a regular OUFRO. The outer part is easy to remove but the inner sits really tight.. Any hints? Advertisement Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Hi echorec, Take a look here OUFRO for M42. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted November 12, 2013 Share #2 Posted November 12, 2013 Gunnar, are you sure is a M42 ? OUFRO has a M bayonet in front...40mm diameter about... and looking at the pics the thread mount seems to me smaller than 42mm. It looks well made... never saw... my first thought is that could be some Leitz accessory for lab usage of M lenses...
gyoung Posted November 12, 2013 Share #3 Posted November 12, 2013 The back bit looks like a T mount, I have a few lying about and as far as I remember the front of the T mount is often removable by undoing the grub screw and odd adapters are relatively easy to make. One of the T mounts I picked up years ago is a Soligor one for Leica 39 screw, but I have never seen a lens worth buying to try! Gerry
Theodor Heinrichsohn Posted November 12, 2013 Share #4 Posted November 12, 2013 The chromes part looks like a normal OUFRO to me. The black part should come off and you will see the normal M bayonet of the OUFRO is I am right. What the black part is I have no idea. but it might be a spacing element, just as you can put more than one OURFO together to get even closer close up views. zeitz Posted November 12, 2013 Share #5 Posted November 12, 2013 It's homemade using Leitz and T-mount parts.
echorec Posted November 12, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted November 12, 2013 Thanks guys, I am sure you are right about the mount. Still haven´t been able to figure out how to remove the inner part of the adapter but I will hopefully figure it out. Best regards,
