NordHiker Posted November 2, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 2, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) When getting a new camera and then stepping into night´s darkness I was wandering how I could handle the M. I left my headflashlight and water level a home and just took this tiny Leica tripod along. It took me a while to remember how to use the long exposure (up to 60sec) but I managed. The lens was the 24mm Elmar at f3.4. ISO 200, both 32sec. Everything went fine and it was a great pleasue to use the electronic water level. Cheers. Welcome, dear visitor! NordHiker Posted November 2, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted November 2, 2013 Well thanks, I took the pictures on a little island in the German North sea named Sylt a couple weeks ago.
PauloSm6 Posted November 4, 2013 Share #5 Posted November 4, 2013 Awesome photos, did you just hold the shutter open on B mode and guess at the exposures? Paulo
MarkP Posted November 5, 2013 Share #6 Posted November 5, 2013 Lovely composition and colours. Perfectly timed exposure - long enough to capture the movement of the clouds but short enough for the stars to be preserved as dots rather than short lines. jaapv Posted November 5, 2013 Share #7 Posted November 5, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Very nicely done - . However, the M9 is no slouch at low-ISO - long-exposure shots either. Perhaps even better because of the extended shutter time. Welcome, dear visitor!
