No need of an optician. As Jaap says, your target should be two metres away.  They usually have to order them... Some forty years ago Leica supplied their dealers with this handy device. So, Simply put ..... 20/400 (for me), ..... equals a -4 diopter Whatever your glasses Rx is, that will determine your diopter. (not talking astigmatism .... ) Â If the picture in the camera is sharp and clear. That's the diopter to use. If the dealer does not have a Leica selection .... any brand should do. I have taped -4 Nikon, Bronica and Pentax diopters onto Leica finders, Visoflexes, etc. They all worked fine. again, If the picture is sharp in the finder, the diopter is Ok.
