Advertisement Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Hi stump4545, Take a look here storing spare SD cards in bag, no case.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jeff S Posted August 24, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted August 24, 2013 Apart from an extra layer of protection, I use cases or SD wallets for better organization, identification of cards (used/unused, etc). And on a trip, I don't keep used cards in any bag that could be stolen. The gear can be replaced, not the pics. Â Jeff
lct Posted August 24, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted August 24, 2013 Plastic cases are useful to keep electric contacts clean and protect the cards in case of bump or drop. I use small generics like this one when stock cases are too big or awkward to open. CalArts 99 Posted August 24, 2013 Share #4  Posted August 24, 2013 Sticking them individually in your bag is more of an issue of not finding them easily or losing them entirely either in the dark recesses of the bag or having them fall out, etc.. Plus it's probably best to be a bit more organized and secure as Jeff S points out.  It's better to at least stick them in a small plastic bag than just loose, imho. But as an alternative, these are good organizers and are the size of a credit card so that you can also stick them in a shirt pocket: Amazon.com: YELLOW - SD Card Case, Credit Card Size Secure Digital Memory Card Case & Holder: Camera & Photo Welcome, dear visitor! tobey bilek Posted September 11, 2013 Share #8 Â Posted September 11, 2013 SD cards are tough. But I do not test/challenge them. There are numerous small wallets made for them, or just use the case provided.
lmitch6 Posted September 16, 2013 Share #9 Â Posted September 16, 2013 They're tough, but I'd lean on the side of using a case for organizing them, and for the extra layer of protection. They're your 'film' after all. I use this Pelican case, holds 12 cards: Â Pelican 0915 Memory Card Case 0910-015-110 B&H Photo Video
