Leaf shutter in Leitz lens?

I'm no expert but I know that other manufacturers used the Leica thread at various times. Leaf shutters were not common, but not very rare. In fact, Leitz made at least 1 Summicron 50mm with a leaf shutter, I don't know more than that about it. It has appeared on this forum some time back. What this Schneider lens was intended for I don't know.

The revealing detail, imho, is the WELTA writing clearly visible on the front : Welta RF cameras with Xenon did exist and aren't uncommon (see for instance WELTA WELTINI II 24x36 RANGEFINDER XENON 2/50 50mm F2 35mm FOLDABLE 3/13K | eBay)

A good mechanical lab could probably take the lens from a Welta and adapt it for a Leica SM... maybe even with a correct RF coupling, even if it is not so clear if the ebay item has this facility, of course very important for a 50mm f2.

It looks like home made, lens from Welta or similar in Elmar mount.

I remember another eBay seller from Poland who was offering "unusual lenses" in LTM mount, sometimes even based on mounts from FED/Zorki.
