Curves

A very nice composition of this interesting pattern. Is the antialising visible in the original file too or only due to the compression for this forum?  Just found out that the antialising was visible in the preview and not when clicking on the picture :)

LXV ooc jpeg reduced for forum

Still think the LXV underrated as a camera when it gives such good photos!

Great travel camera.

What have you been smokin'? LOL.

How did you do this?

Gary

This was processed in PS and using the oil paint filter and treatment. The effect is not really well shown on this image due to the limited size restrictions of the site for posting.

A higher res version of this is on the DPreview site in the Leica Thread  this will give you a better idea of how it should look printed.

The image was taken with this treatment in mind.

Details from the Moot Hall, Aldeburgh, Suffolk.

Not a straight line in sight!

Beautiful old building though.

A wonderful heirloom, Rosebud. Even with your crop I can see several  additional pictures within pictures. A fascinating place to explore, regardless of weather.

I agree, a wonderful shot, and at first glance it looked to me to be a crayon drawing, that was my first impression, sorry.

Goes to show, the X-Vario is a great system for this sort of shot.

Thanks David. As you say, Aldeburgh is a fascinating place to visit any time of year.

Gary , It is one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. The best for you who come from far, is to arrive by plane to Milan, or Genoa, and hire a car to visit the coast. Well choose hotels with parking, then move on foot, by bus or by regional train. We did the track with the red carpet between Santa Marguerita and Portofino, magnificent. To do in the morning for the sun, 3 miles. People are friendly and not submerged by the influx of African migrants as in the large Italian cities. The X-Vario and a M are enough to travel light with a small bag.
The live cam again in service.
