Only a few leaves left on the tree, much less ones that have any life left in them.  X-Vario 46mm@ f8

To offset the autumn colours, a little mono from a gloomy Stockholm day, still a beautiful city, one which I will return to.

I'm in north California, and the wildfires here have blanketed my area with a thick haze.

When I shoot long-distance shots, it gives my photos a dreamlike vintage low-contrast look, which is interesting.

ISO 100, 46mm, f/8, 1/125th.

We had a nice weekend in the Spreewald, a nice landscape well-known for its many small canals, on which you are driven by flat bottomed boats. We had fantastic weather and enjoyed this short vacation very much:

Gary, I am particularly drawn to your second "architectural" image here (what place is that?) - well done!

Toshi, Eerie capture! Please stay safe our thoughts up here in Washington State are with you all down there.

And James, colors and the way the darker blue water supports the sky blue you have here!

Cheers,

David

It's a silo "arrangement" near the wharf area. I am sure it is Stockholm, but for the life of me I can't find it now on Google Maps. I'll do some more research and come back to you.

Edit:. It is Stockholm, found it on Google Maps.

Gary,

Silo was the word I was looking for....it was early here ;)  No need for more specifics. I like the way the 18mm (28 in Leica speak) contained the image....assuming it was 18mm.

The Paradise, CA fire is 250 miles (400 km) away from me, so not anywhere close to me.

But the wind is blowing in this direction, and we get all the smoke, and the air is a bit nasty to breathe.
