I miss my X-Vario. Need to find another...

They are not easy to find. For a very good reason. Trade-in prices underrate their actual value and would-be sellers recognize that they are worth more to keep and continue to use. Twinned with a second camera with a faster lens makes for a very effective travel duo.

A Gray Reality- Winter weather setting in, this was the scene along a beach at the border here with Canada. The buildings in the second image are White Rock, B.C.

Yes James, I agree, but no matter how I tried I couldn't really improve it. I'll give it another go at some stage.

Sometimes these colors are going crazy on their own :)

After many months I took my Vario to the wild this evening. In Potsdam (near Berlin) the had some illuminations on different buildings and I thought it would be the right place to bring the Vario. Here is one of the results, which once again showed to me, how malleable the files from this nice camera are. When I took this 30 second exposure, it was pitch dark and the only thing vaguely visible on my screen was the illuminated tower of the so called Church of Peace:

X Vario is a great camera but don't leave yourself out of the equation. Patience tenacity and vision all were at play here! :)
