Abandoned structure in Central Alberta. Apparently this was being built as a showroom for a company that manufactured pre-cast concrete panels but the company ceased trading and the building was left in it's unfinished state. It became quite popular as a party place for the local kids so now it is fenced off to keep people out.

I have a couple taken from the right-hand corner but not straight-on as the building is open both sides and you can see the "stuff" parked in the yard behind the building which kind of ruins the disptopian look of the structure. I can post them if you like.

Yes that would make it cluttered. Maybe though a low and upward angled perspective may not include the stuff.

Playing with light.

This picture is a long exposure of 30 sec. with ISO 1600 and f/3.5. During exposure a car appeared at the street behind me and painted the tree with its headlights, exactly the way I had hoped for:

Another exposure from the same spot, this time a friend of me used a torchlight to light up the trees:

And this is the reason we took pictures in the middle of the night in Istria / Croatia. Unfortunately the light pollution was quite strong, although we moved some miles away from the next village. The bright white spot on the right side is Jupiter:

Fantastic series of shots.  I like the use of lighting the trees.

Welcome to the forum @lspinner and thank you for your kind feedback. I think that in situations like these the X-Vario shines really bright. Sometimes I wish it had even longer exposure times, but the creative potential is truly great. This is another 30 sec exposure, where I pressed my camera to a wall, as I didn't have my tripod with me:

And another one, where the only light source was the small candle light on the table:

Too bad but there is no sharpness in this photo.

Guytou

It's very difficult for me with my damaged eye/distorted vision to actually ascertain sharpness etc.. I appreciate your comments..L
