Wonderful scenery … where I live it's totally flat ... apart from slip roads and pedestrian underpasses on dual carriageways.

Thank you, Dunk;

each country has its own charm and the longing pulls where it is different.

So your region is one of our desired destinations.

Here is an effort from me. Though I like many things about it, I am not totally certain -yet- that I will keep this camera...

I just love the way the X-Vario + SEfexPro2 produces b&w images. View this week of the Loire at Gennes.

I also posted this in the Nature section. Still going through my test shots.

I was pleased with this one. ISO 200, 1/80, f6.4 at the long end.

I have received more positive comments on my photos since using the X Vario than I ever got with other cameras - either I am getting better at this photo thing' or the X Vario is the right camera for me - probably a little of each.

Ece, that is a tricky subject for any camera with tones weighted towards the blacks. I would have increased the exposure of the shadows in LR; but much depends on your desired interpretation. In general, I have no problems with exposure with any of my digital Leica cameras. Exceptionally I will take a bracketed sequence and carefully compile an integrated HDR image. You could do that with LR plus a NIK plugin.
