Advertisement Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Hi Albert Andersen, Take a look here M9P - Whats wrong ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
skinnfell Posted June 6, 2013 Share #2 Posted June 6, 2013 Definitely something wrong, but this seems like some sort of write error. Was it a JPG or DNG? Are both files the same size? Now wether it is the camera or the memory card which is the culprit is hard to tell. Does this happen often? Have you tried different memory cards? Albert Andersen Posted June 6, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted June 6, 2013 Yes, I have tried with different SD cards, and also DNG and JPEG, but with the same result. Can take 2 or 3 pictures there are ok, but the next can have the fail. The camera is 5 month old, and have been ok until to day. The cards are SanDisk SDHC, used in the past without any fails. wattsy Posted June 6, 2013 Share #4 Posted June 6, 2013 Interesting that there is a thin strip at the bottom that looks to be the right exposure. Maybe some kind of sticky shutter?
lct Posted June 7, 2013 Share #5 Posted June 7, 2013 No idea sorry but i would format the card through SDFormatter or i would try a non Sandisk card.
jaapv Posted June 7, 2013 Share #6 Posted June 7, 2013 It looks like a camera electronic glitch to me; the pink colour is often present in malfunctioning sensors and the banding reminds me or the "beam me up Scotty" fault in the early M8. Send the files to Leica for advice, although I think I can predict the answer: "please send the camera in".
Albert Andersen Posted July 1, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted July 1, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just got the M9 back after repair in Solms:. New shutter, sensor calibrated, rangefinder adjusted and cleaned after repair. This repair was after about 400 exp.
