I think you won't regret it. I did exactly the same a few months ago (posted a farewell thread for my digital Ms) and the only piece of gear I bought since that day was a Ricoh GR1 that now takes care of the wider angle shots while my M6 keeps shoting with the 'crons 35 and 50. More than happy with it.

I just spent two weeks in Japan (where I exposed lots of Tri-X). Not that I let trends from other countries decide what I personally choose, but my impression was that even more serious amateurs in Japan have chosen the analogic way than we see in Europe. Perhaps we're slowly going towards a new film age? ;-)

Hi,

Could you set up an RSS feed so I can automatically get the new posts delivered to me?

I like your style. How is the Nikon 35Ti? I was actually thinking of the 28mm version to go with my Leica minilux.

Thank you! I'm going to try to fix that! ;)

Hi!

I recently sold all my digital gear and bought a film leica and a lot of film. I post my best photos on my blog Rikard Landberg | Photographer.

Are there more blogs with all film photography photos?

You could try: http://threeleicas.blogspot.co.uk/ and http://www.theonlinedarkroom.com

Very nice pictures. My favorites are the two Empire State Pictures and the one with the US Flag.

What scanner do you use? I am very bad at scanning....I tried scanning I believe 2 years back and never tried it again

As do I.

I am only perhaps 6 months into scanning and found the "serious" scanners waving smoke and mirrors and working black magic. In reality I have found, straight from the box with no further processing, is fine for my purposes. It may be beginners luck but the cost of the 8100 is modest and worth a go.

I posted here recently on the settings and results, more on Flickr.

To return to topic  I'm enjoying the blog, thanks for sharing.

Hi Landberg!

My first post here - although I've been a long-time reader on the Forum and an even longer-time Leica user!

Enjoying your blog very much - I recently sold my collection of cameras from 4"x5" through 6x9, 6x6 and more and left myself with the M4, M6TTL and a newly-acquired M9, so your project is of real interest to me.

I'm very much a film user and darkroom worker - I don't think the M9 is going to change that. I don't have a print scanner so I'm also using the Plustek 8100 as a method of posting my stuff on the internet - not sure if 'm getting the best out of it yet, being a digital novice...

I started a blog just a couple of months ago to track how and what I'm doing with the Leicas - when you get a spare moment or two check out :

A Tale of Three Leicas

Keep blogging!

Best regards

EddieB
