This has immediately fixed itself into my memory as a picture I won't forget in a hurry, if at all. Absolutely masterful, full of mystery and intrigue as well as being utterly beautiful. A masterpiece for which I sincerely thank you Charles.

Thank you for your kind word Phil. The photo was taken on night which lingers in my memory and echoes the emotions which were mine at the time.

One of my latest portraits with the rolleiflex. After around 20 films, I finally got the look I wanted. An expensive lesson, but worth it. I used to photograph with a cm500 shortly before I switched to a SL66. With that one I did many, many weddings. Obviously I used the close-up ability a lot, sth I had to learn with the rolleiflex 2.8. Anyway, meet Angelo, the oldest guy on the island.

What a lovely expression. Like so many of your people pictures they seem to be taken right out of “normal” life, casual but deep.
And what is your experience with this Ferrania film?

Thank you!

This was my first P33 roll. I shot it at 125 in different light conditions and I think it worked well. I even shot the Blue Angels flying over Lake Washington in Seattle. It seems to be a good low iso. I found P30 to be more extreme in terms of constrast and development.

I spotted a few rare black points (defects in the emulsions) and the film in the cassette did not align perfectly with the camera frame: the lower bottom touches the sprockets holes (just like when you load a modern cassette in an old barnack camera ...)

The development is a guess based on some Facebook threads because Ferrania has not published anything for HC-110.
