I saw this little gem in a youtube video and fell immediately in love: A Carl Zeiss Jena Werra 2

The film transport mechanism alone is worth to buy the camera (50 Euro on ebay). You have to turn the green ring behind the lens to transport the film. Really very funny.

I will test it within the next days. Curious for the results.

First time pushing FP4 (and also probably my last one). Sunny day in Rome but I still decided to push it (metered at 400). I had to add quite a lot of contrast in Photoshop, overall I'm glad the imagery came out but not my cup of tea. I read quite a lot of tests online, some people are happy some aren't....

Shot with Hasseblad 500cm + Zeiss 80mm, inside & outside the Colosseum.

My coiffeur

Hasselblad 500 C/M with Zeiss Planar 2.8/80

Ilford Delta 400 @ 1600 - Looking at the grain, I think Delta 400 cannot be pushed that well. Do others here have the same experience? HP5+ seems to better at being pushed two stops. Maybe even 3?

It is a fascinating camera. I guess the Wera was supposed to be a showcase for East German capabilities in camera design and construction. I don't know about this model, but in other werra models the setting of exposure can be a real Rubik's Cube exercise. :)

Best,

Wayne

I agree. Delta films are best at box speed.

Same here, I tried delta 400 pushed to 1600 and did not really like it. Was long time ago though (this photo is from a school event in 2015)

Thank you both, gentlemen. This really helps when learning - as I still am. 🙂
