Oly Pen FT Half Frame with Zuiko 42mm 1.2

attachicon.gif1441a.jpg

So the analogue equivalent of M43's  ;) Excellent quality from such a small negative.  I had a Pen half-frame back-in the mid/late 'Sixties in Singapore & Borneo but changed it for a Canon FT on the basis of 'size is everything'!  Which is not necessarily always true...

Leica 111f & 50mm Summitar - Fuji Superia200

I've just put a roll of colour film through my 111f to test my Summitar. Both the camera and lens have been serviced recently but up to now I've only used the Summitar for black and white. I'm very pleased with this first roll. Both the film and the lens have performed better than I expected.

The realism of the shot is quite stunning. I recall the first time I shot Superia 200 through my Rollei 35. Then, too, I was amazed at the realism of the images produced. I have shot quite a bit of Superia 200 and, although happy with all results, there have been instances where results were truly amazing. I guess it stands as evidence that there are just lens/film combinations that are just made for each other. It is particularly entertaining when the lens was made several decades before the film came along.
