Lots of interesting characters (human and otherwise!) in both sets, Pete.  Well caught moments with very pleasing tones.  They all look very grain free - what dev?

Thanks Keith. I was thinking of putting my film cameras on eBay this week so I can afford the new M10 but now I'm thinking I'll sell the M-P240 and wait for the M10-P, continuing to use my film Ms over the next couple of years.

Developer is Perceptol so I shot the film at 200iso.

Back to the beach last night, but I wasn't brave enough to risk messing it up again with an experimental process. This Pan F was developed the standard way, in HC-110. F6, 28-300 (I thought a questionable lens might give me more flare), X1 scans:

Chris

Much better developed indeed!

I was summoned to our office in Canary Wharf, London, for a couple of days last week.  Only had a few small windows of time for some shooting; but I did bring along my Hassy SWC and an agenda...

This shot of the 8am morning commute with the motion blur has been on my bucket list....  If you look closely on the second staircase from the right you can see the same balding man riding the escalator most of the way up :).  And that "ADAM" sign is NOT a watermark :) :)

Pete thanks for your comment :)

In my case , 8 years with digital it's enough  , aproximate color , edges too sharp mostly

black unhomogeneous , scratches on sensor , moiré ....  I come back to film and I save my money

not to purchase again one robot camera ....

I find great pleasure take time to compose , less shutter syndrome , with film than with my 2 digital

cam (I still keep them just to compare film vs digital in color and alos in b&w)

It reminds me great memories when I saw your two series of pictures .... our thread about

scanner comparison ... unfortunately lost after Andreas changed the Leica User Forum (LUF)

to new forum (LF)

Superb composition and framing. Nice black grey tone with no equivalent in your two series

of pictures posted above.

Thank you for posting Pete

Best

Pete - Love the photos.  You have a real skill for B&W film photography.  I am sure you are wasting your time with your digital Ms.  These photos have so much charm and class.

Thanks Henry, it's been a while. I disappeared to use my M240 which had been lying around virtually untouched since I bought it. Prior to starting to use the M240 I had bought a few rolls of Tmax400 and had loaded a roll into my MP. I thought I'd better shoot the roll off and process it and try to scan it, and I'm really pleased with the results. Some more to follow.

Took my Hasselblad 500C + Planar 80mm for a pre-breakfast stroll around the Avebury Stone Circle this morning.  This one is a not-quite-so-standing stone ;)

That stone looks like a breaching whale! I probably climbed on it as a kid, back in the days when such sacrilege was allowed.

I agree with Chris. That stone structure elicits all sorts of thoughts and visions!
