Thanks Henry, I will own a Summilux 50 some day soon, it is high on my wish list. I had an early copy in my possession for about a month and loved the look of it but could not justify keeping it at the time.

Sunny with a Summilux 50 Asph I have this picture wide open f/1.4 without tripod

and sp expos.1/60.

Excellent documentary reportage, Henry.  Sad story for those refugees...

Very clear, Gary.  You sure those are film and not from your digital Leica camera? :)

Thanks, Eoin.  The architecture of this building is lost on a lot of people given that it is squeezed among many other buildings in the financial district.  But from this POV its splendor can be appreciated.

I like this shot a lot, Adam!

Pre-dawn morning glory over lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge.

This scene took every bit of the 9 cm-wide film plane with the ground glass, just squeezing in the left end of the Brooklyn Bridge and also the Freedom Tower.

And the hole in the Manhattan Bridge from where I took this two Sunday's ago at approx 5:15am was freshly cut by me

Linhof Technika Press 23, Zeiss Biogon 53mm and Ektar (6x9) (sharpness is so good that on the full res version you can read the green street signs on the far mid-right along the highway)

(A special shot out to my friend "Tri," who in his generous and friendly way offered to broker the purchase of a rare Linhof Technika Press 23 just like mine from a German eBay seller who did not want to ship to the USA.  The conditions weren't right to jump on the opportunity, but I really appreciate the thought!)

Stunning, Adam!

Absolutely Adam, I'm too scared of getting keel-hauled by Henry. Plus I'm down to just one digital now.

It was a bit of a "pre-Europe shake-down" with a new to me R6, and also a new to me Elmarit 24mm and Summicron 50mm. Did a quick short roll of dated T-Max100, and splashed it through some R09 last night.

So, possibly a bit too much sharpening in the post?

At the time I scanned using the Epson 4870 (flatbed) and Vuescan I wondered if they were sharp, and was worried about the lens/camera combo.

I've just re-scanned with the Plustek 8100 and SilverFast, and they look fine.

Thanks for your response, Gary.  It was my usual sarcastic way of complimenting the wonderful clarity and sharpness of your photos.  Really nice.

Very nice and lovely portrait Wayne . Why ? because it's natural

I also think it's Ektar with the little rose background

Thanks, Henry. From the look on her face she has just discovered where one of the pieces belong. :)
