Doc, I've always enjoyed your "poppy photo's" this one is in a league of it's own however, the wild and dynamic foreground tailing up to the flowers has a pleasing and memorable effect. Wonderful!

Merci

Charles

Thanks Charles

If you like poppies we'll be good friend :D

I'll post more for you

Henry or the poppies man :D

Thanks, Ian.

These are great, Adam. I particularly like how the purple of the umbrella is echoed in the Jet.com ad and the yellow of the sunglasses in the other photo is echoed in the ad behind.

Philip - very nice.  I wonder, though, whether the black points are sufficiently set on this one.  They look a little light only monitor (could just be me, though)

Yosemite Falls.  This is with an M3 and a 35mm Summaron f3.5, on Plus-X with a yellow filter.  It's Ok, but on the whole it just looks very ordinary.  I'm disappointed in the camera, to be honest; the look of the image is significantly worse than on the Sony, and it's hard to use in certain ways.  Maybe it takes some getting used to.  Or maybe it should have a better scan.

I agree with Phil :)

What I like in these pictures and the portrait , it's grain and "natural" silver grain ,

not coming from software  ,  like in a painting.

You must print with the enlarger

If you have more please post Robert

Thanks for sharing

While I'm not disagreeing with Phil re the bar, I reckon anyone can and should post, bar height is immaterial.

Great way to learn, especially if you run into a few "problems" with home development.

Welcome aboard.

Gary

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I need to tighten up my process and limit variables I think.

RE the grain, I was worried that it was too grainy. I know Tri-X is a grainy film but is it too grainy? I might try less agitations next time. I did 11 minutes at 1:25 dilution with five seconds of agitation every 30 seconds. I have a few more from this roll if there are any worthy then I'll post them.
