Lichfield Cathedral.   This was an exercise to see how slow a shutter speed I can still hand hold to get away with an acceptably sharp image.

1/8th second with the 28mm lens.  For anyone who might care, I'm an habitual right-hand-down-elbows-in-and-trip-the-shutter-with-the-right-thumb photographer when it comes to portrait format with my MP.

Right-arm-up-elbow-sticking-out-and-trip-the-shutter-with-right-index-finger just looks wrong to me!  ;)

I thought 4mins 30secs might be a bit of a short developing time for Tri-X @250 in Ilfotec LC29 but it seems just about right. Tim slacklining whilst Chloe paddleboards by on the lake.

Great lively shots, Pete. I really like them. And technically very well done, too. Exposure and development are spot on.

Steve, that's a pretty good result at 1/8 of a second. (and at any shutter speed for that matter) I loose my nerve way before that, perhaps I should try your method once I've figured it out!

Pete normally it seems 3mns 30 at 20°C in Ilfotec LC. Your first picture is fine

For the second , it's a same roll ?  it seems for me sharper and deeper black ?

Anyway nice pictures in b&w

Best

In the same style of Steve here is a one of many ceilings of the Senanque cistercian Abbey

(12th century) Roman style , taken in bad light condition , with Kodak Portra only at 160 Isos

with no tripod , no flash  but with a Summilux 35 mm Asph. I try to make a 100% crop, good

definition of the stone of the ceiling . Incredible lens !

I think i was at expos. around 1/30 !

Leica M7 , the measurement accuracy of M7 in exposure and Isos must also be noted :)

In the same condition of light here another picture taken with the same camera, lens and film.

I am amazing about the result with only 160 Isos and no monopod !

A really nice place to visit , an exemplary silence and serenity

I remind you that these two pictures are uncorrected.

Scan Nikon Coolscan 5000 in Tiff > Jpeg for posting (RGB calibrated in factory)

Cloudy and rainy day + bad light condition, this Kodak Portra 160 amazes me :)

The definition is very good when I crop , grain is very fine

Leica M7-Summilux 35 Asph-Kodak Portra 160

Another good film Kodak TX400 , isn't Adam ?

I'll try Kodak TMax100 during my mission trip but I am afraid I'll not have this "deep" black

Your opinion is welcome :)

We do not have often nice weather we want for photos, but personally, I have no luck, still bad weather
in general, but we must bring back some memories so I photographyou agree  ?

With film camera , we bring back pictures as we see , with no Isos race like in digital (you know this kind of

night picture transformed in day picture)   . You said "distorsion"  "denaturation" ?
