A stunning photograph. When someone argues against the phrase that "a picture is worth 1,000 words" they should be shown this wonderful moment from Venice in refutation. Speaks volumes about relationships, mass tourism and all sorts of things.

Phil, thank you so much for your kind words on my posts. This one of the couple perusing the guide book before diving in has always been a favorite of mine…

Shapes with an O Series I had a while back, another that slipped from my grasp. Certainly quirky to use, but a gorgeous lens. FP4+ in R09.

I like snapshot this paparazzi style with direct light, just for fun I will use it more

Both shots are great, but the “paparazzi” style is my favorite. It reminds of something in a fashion magazine in the mid 90s - a fleeting moment but heavy on the glamour. The model is beautiful in such a natural way that cannot be imitated. She has a wonderful, kind presence that comes through in each image.

On a more technical note, years ago I experimented with a TLR loaded with Tri-X and paired with a big Sunpak 555 auto thyristor flash. Set the aperture to f8-11, prefocus, and press the shutter. It was like a bolt of lightning, and resulted in several memorable images. I’ve always been fond of this style. You’ve done well with this one!

now I am curious Rog, what is your connection to that famous art dealer? And what was wrapped in that paper?

The portfolio is from the 1920s I am guessing and belonged to my mother. East coast interiors. Thanks to your forensics, I will pay closer attention, especially since I can't remember where I placed it.
