I'm sitting high atop a sand dune at the north end of Lake Michigan, looking south. As usual up here, it's very windy. The Holga is on a tripod, fitted with a strong ND filter and 3D-printed cable release doohickey. I consult my reciprocity failure cheat sheet and time the long exposure using my phone, as always with Holga, hoping for the best. Welcome, dear visitor! The rendering of the lake especially and the slight movement in the tree create such tension between still and movement. Kenna always carries a loaded Holga in his car, and recently I've taken to that. Haven't developed the film yet, so the serendipity isn't really so serendipitous. But your planning is divine madness, investing such time and expertise on a plastic lens. Bravo! 5

Not only a "standard tourist photo" it is timeless with showing the Twin Towers. 9/11 changed the world! That day I was in an agentur and noboby takes his eyes from the TVs becaus it was unbeliveble what was to be seen there. Bo, it may be a standard motif, but the special light, and as Drei Punkte already mentioned, the twin towers truly elevate it above the flood of snapshots. The image conveys a subtle melancholy, almost as if, when pressing the shutter, you caught a glimpse into the future.
