Sign of the times:  in 2021 I found Fuji Superia 400 at GBP7.95 per roll; in 2022 and early 2023 it was GBP9.99 then it disappeared.  Yesterday I found this:

That makes for an expensive shoot once processing costs are factored in.  By comparison, XP2 still available at GBP100 per 30m (100ft) roll making the cost per 36-shot cassette around about GBP5 so monochrome has never seemed more appealing (traditional BW stock also still available).  400ft of ECN-2 stock is even cheaper but handling and processing is a pain.

Will demand for Fuji and Kodak ever produce a price drop?

Worst thing about this, is that it isn't Superia any more. No idea what you will get there. Junk for about four times the prices as the gone high quality film was before. Tried a overpriced Fujicolor 100 a while ago. It was even worse than the Fujicolor Industrial 100 I tried before. Some say this should be the same film, but I doubt it. Quality drops as least as fast as the price rises. f-(
