I had one camera with a pretty reliable lower end ( lens/shutter/film transport) but wrecked upper and bad back. Installed mirror, screen, hood structure off of second camera with frozen lower. Not real complex, but parts are all appropriate to the camera. This is, I believe, the third model Rolleiflex and was not marketed for too long a period of time. However, it is pleasing to use due to small size and weight........Plus there is the magic of the ZJ Tessar.

glow is likely a combination of film and lens. It is hard to pin expired East-Bloc film down. One never knows what manner of disappointing - or, in my case, joy- it is going to present. In this instance it was some manner of debris that became embedded in the negatives on the emulsion side.

More examples from my Sunday walk:

Rolleiflex Standard (New Model,) Zeiss Jena 75/3.5, Svema 32 expired, EI 10

Wayne, the pictures convey a dream of a lost country, time and life. Such a lucky coincidence of photographer, camera and film. Very good, very poetic.

Joachim, great  documents. I recognize the kind of shop and the people... the traditional village craftsman-butcher, doing the slaughtering on monday, his wife and the family running the front of the shop.  Slowly pushed out of business by ever increasing requirements of the food and health authorities... and the clients drifting off to the cheaper  butcher department of the supermarket..

Thank you. Sincerely. While your abstract work is far beyond my ability and, usually, full understanding, it is always a presence in my mind when I am out shooting these old cameras and film. It drives me.

Best,

Wayne

Yes, it's definitely an invigorating two-way street, which is what makes the forum here so creative. You say you are "out shooting these old cameras and film," and it's a real surprise to see what your creative sense brings to the table. Thanks so much for doing what you do so well.
