A stirring montage of images that given a soundtrack would warrant a worthwhile screening, at least on YouTube. Do I hear Ken Burns suggesting perhaps voiceover recollections of some of the veterans or family--letters home, reunions, street poetry of the moment, that crazy quilt that is America as it comes together. Cheers for your insightful, sensitive portrait of a Veteran's Day and its parade.

Yeah !! Of course I'm thinking of the HAZE... but there are other options: Korngolds Purple flower .. not really.. Purple rain by the Prince ? might be. I´d opt for the Jimmy himself--perhaps followed by the cover version of the Kronos Quartet.. and the Purple Diamond of one of my favorite pianists-Katia Labeque. Thank you Rog for bringing some purpleness into a rather demanding evening....just trying to get my new scanner into action...

The forecast wasn't too good so I took my waterproof Nikon L35AW up to the glacier for some "training" (playing in the snow). I was worried that it might not perform too well as it doesn't have exposure compensation. It does have a very good lens and it performed very well considering.

This is my first result with  the newly bought scanner--wrestled with the far from intuitive software  for quite a while.... I'm not really satisfied because it´s not as sharp as expected--but I like the luminosity in the shadow.

Central Park was Sunday visit, Monday I was watching part of the parade at 29th and 5th .... great fun .... after this batch I am ready to being scanning everything myself, will talk to you offline about size, etc., The Color House scanning prices for 24MB Tiff files are just getting tooooo expensive. Also going to start developing my own B&W too, more control and in the end more fun too .... since I am not doing it for a living, meaning for a deadline.
