Keith (M) Posted July 28, 2017 Share #37141 Posted July 28, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is a more conventional version of a scene that i shared last week. Rather than the 80mm planar i used the Hassy SWC (38mm) Across with either an orange or red filter. Lower Manhattan. No shortage of work for window-cleaners! A pleasing composition with lots to hold the attention.

sixteen pads Posted July 28, 2017 Share #37144 Posted July 28, 2017 (edited) Bookstore at night Agfavista 200. Shutter at 1/4 seconds. Hand held. Om-1 with Zuiko 50mm 1.4 I have a later serial number version of OM-1 and the mirror slap is so minimal and cushioned on that body that is pretty mind blowing. I think they improved the shutter design from the earlier Om-1 versions as the production went. I feel the Om-1 is the closest to Leica experience I ever got when shooting SLR. Those Zuikos are amazing also. What an amazing and handsome camera. How many of you lads shot with one and what have been your impressions ? Keith (M) Posted July 28, 2017 Share #37149 Posted July 28, 2017 OK, a change from the landscapes! Before venturing forth onto the Ridgeway, I quickly took some interior shots with the 60mm Macro Elmarit-R, including some close-focus ones (hand-held). (I also took some quite pleasing phtos of my wife beavering away at the sowing machine but she would probably kill me were I to post them here!) Work In Progress (focus was on the seam). Remote (focus on the nearest text). [

Those Zuikos are amazing also. What an amazing and handsome camera. How many of you lads shot with one and what have been your impressions ? Today's camera was one of the OM-2ns (the one with the little US flag on a shield which was an Olympus promotion for the 1984 Olympics in LA). I do find them Leica-like in size, quietness and simplicity; they make me think just the right amount in that I have to pay attention to focus and metering, but I have enough time and attention span left to deal with framing and composition (perhaps not very successfully). The F6s tend to make things a little too easy, but their metering is more accurate than the OM-2ns'. The Pan F is currently cooking for an hour in 1+100 Rodinal, the first time I have tried this.
Doc Henry Posted July 28, 2017 Author Share #37151 Posted July 28, 2017 (edited) With my Leicaflex SL (1970) refurbished by Wetzlar recently I spend to-day to take some macro photos with "extension tubes". One test with Elmarit 90mm and another test with Elmarit 135 the focus is under 0.30 m and much easier with the 135 mm I recommand this combo for your macrophotos Here two photos of the equipment mount with Elmarit 90mm : the focus is nearer and image a little bigger, but less bokeh Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! and mount with Elmarit 135 with nice bokeh in background . You can see very well here "extension tubes" M9-35 Lux Asph Another equipment : Tripod (here a Gitzo) + flexible shutter-release indispensable The focus with 135 is easier and the easiness is better than with 90 , but image is less big.... The second advantage of using 135 mm is the obtention of an image with nice bokeh in background . The first mount with 90mm reminds me the use of Elpro with the Summicron 50 (Thanks Gary) and it's a bit difficult to focus , especially when windy time ! .... but all macro photography needs patience I will develop. soon the Kodak Portra roll and I'll post here some photos . ...but you'll say me , why you don't use the digital camera to photograph (because on picture posted above , color seems nice but as all of you already know here , color is approximate, that's the reason I photograph macro with film) Good macrophotos to all of you.... and "I love film" Best Henry Edited July 28, 2017 by Doc Henry
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! and mount with Elmarit 135 with nice bokeh in background . atournas Posted July 28, 2017 Share #37156 Posted July 28, 2017 Excellent IMHO in many ways. The b&w blends your artist with the background, the stones give a nice perspective, and this is one of the subject matters where films such as the Delta - with their ability to capture nuances of grays - work really well. Rgds C. Thanks a lot, Christopher, for your kind comment. It's one of my very first Delta 100 attempts and I, too, like the greyscale rendering that's justified the use of the Summicron-M 35mm ASPH.
