Doc Henry Posted July 27, 2017 Author Share #37061 Posted July 27, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for the kind words Henry. I shoot a heck of a lot of theatre work with the D810 and D600. Love it, but it's tiring. I keep telling my photographic friends that there is something about the rendition of film, and that it is so relaxing and satisfying. Occasionally I force myself to take the M4 along, and I should do it more often - the images always appeal to me. This is something quite different. Some years ago I acquired a 1932 Elmar 50mm Nickel - from a Canadian chap I think - it had been recently serviced by a German expert, the file and invoice is here somewhere, but what the heck, it's the shot that counts. This was taken at Kirra beach on the Gold Coast, with that lens on a IIIf purchased from Youxin Ye. Kirra beach.jpg Great color Dan , the blue of the sea is superb Nice reflection of sun on water ... i like the bird in the sky Best Henry

Doc Henry Posted July 27, 2017 Author Share #37069 Posted July 27, 2017 (edited) Near & Far A view from near Hackpen Hill on the Ridgeway. R5, 35mm Elmarit-R III (a lens which is impressing me mightily!), Acros 100, Rodinal. Keith really superb landscape I notice the R5 is a good camera with Elmarit lens for taking landscape Acros 100 gives a plus for a nice black and white tone. A little different when you focus in SLR versus M RF Thanks Henry Edited July 27, 2017 by Doc Henry

blackandwhite Posted July 27, 2017 Share #37074 Posted July 27, 2017 TX as usual and you're right JeanMarie Nice tone , MG was a great car , now stopped I believe Thank you for this vintage picture Best Henry I shot this film two weeks ago, Henry. I quite do stick to the same film, sometimes I change for Ilford as there's still quite a stock of it in the fridge. And I'd love to test this Italian film, - I saw pics a couple of days that were amazing in my eyes. But is this Italian brand film commercialized now ? By the way, I always would love to say "wow" to so many of You - I hope You understand my "thanks" that way. I most of the time come here after hard working days, so it is difficult sometimes to be not to tired to make comments to this or that picture. But it is a real source of pleasure and inspiration to be here. Jean-Marie
