I REALLY must get my SWC out and use it Adam, these are simply awesome,  and a great incentive to try some myself.

Ektar as well, mono converted. Bodes well for my foray to Europe with Ektar.

Thanks, Gary.  I highly recommend taking plenty of Ektar with you on your trip.  It is so versatile for landscapes and cityscapes and the like.  It works well in the day and at night.

I am excited for your upcoming trip!

Actually, Adam, now that I look at it again, it looks like it's at half mast...

Ok, that's it, now i am starting to doubt myself. I need to try to remember exactly when i took this so i can figure out why this would have been. Sincere thanks for your careful look(s)!!

I can see why Adam, great stuff, love the simple rocks/shoreline contrasted against the far from simple background.

This one is just a random world-at-large moment with Delta 400

Famous Moulin Rouge in Pigalle Paris

May 2017

In front , you have a big fan for subway and many girls stay above and like to have dress or hair

"in the wind" in the manner of Marilyn Monroe  :) . So they can take photos with Moulin Rouge in

background :)

For Gary , position of Ektar100 according Kodak chart

Color saturation

Decreased         P 160        P400   P800           Ektar100  Increased  (P400 and 160 in mid position)

Grain

Fine  P800                          P400   P160           Ektar100  Extremely  fine

Contrast

Low   P400- P160               Ektar100                                 High  (Ektar in mid position)

Sharpness

Low                                              P160    P400 Ektar100  High

In conclusion :

more Color Saturation with Ektar100

Grain Ektar is extremely fine

Ektar in the middle for contrast , less contrast with P400 and 160

and sharper for Ektar100

My next work : make a comparison with the same camera and lens P160-400 and Ektar

Greatly appreciated Henry.

To be honest though I can study these charts until I am blue in the face, they really don't make much impression on me.

I'm likely to take the Ektar and Delta 100 films but slip a few Tri-X and Portra 400 in, just in case.

Leica M7-Summicron 35 Asph-Kodak Ektar 100 (dev in Tetenal)

Without noticing that before, I believe Ektar has less "contrast" than P400 and 160

less "color saturation" than P400 or 160 (it's not the case,I am wrong)

I think it's a bit hard to decide on this without a quantitative test Henry.

Plus, you'd be hard pressed to go wrong either way.

Gary , if you stay with color Kodak film for the moment (my case) it's interesting

to compare and to know it has a diffrence between the three films.

It gives more richness for films you use and you can see there the superiority of film in comparison

with sensor (each new film is a new sensor) .

When I used M8 and M9 (Kodak CCD sensor) I think color of M8 is nearer the reality in comparison with M9

I have made some tests .... in comparison with Portra (example bus in London)

I'll post if you are  interested
