I hope you'll indulge me as we return to the Ockenburgh forest. This is on Ektar 100, as previously using the 80 Planar and extension rings (and as always shot handheld). On the lower two I metered away from the light to try to get a more or less accurate exposure of the flower. I wanted to shoot from below and up into the light. I always rely on the built-in meter which is extremely accurate. That said, the metering area is large (for spot metering one needs the 205 model) so in use it's similar in some ways to a Leica M.

Gentlemen, The wealth of colour from these photographs is almost overwhelming, each has a harmony and individuality of course, but the effect as they pass the review is one of excitement.

Thank you

Now for two impressions of some fern, which is one of the coolest plants I know. 80 Planar as usual.

Who doesn't love Velvia's vibrant autumn colors? Very nice.

Following requests  made when I posted regarding scans I have made during my enforced slow-down due to ill-health, here is one of my favourites taken in the Gambia using Fujichrome 50iso film in 2000. I am afraid I have no technical details, but do know at that time I was shooting mostly with a Leica M6 and 50mm Summicron f2. I love the way the early morning light has been rendered in this image of a group of village girls waiting for the bus to take them to the high school. I have no details of exposure etc. except that I would have shot at 50iso.

Scanning was using a Plustek 8200i using Silverfast software.

Comments/questions welcome

Gerry

Documentary photography is my weakness, and this is a fine example. Also really like the blue on yellow contrast.

Great composition in these three pictures with nice perspective effect :)

I like specailly the first picture. Delta 100 Ilford have a little more black than HP5

Am I right ?

Thanks for posting Coogee these nice vanishing lines

Henry

Thank you Henry and quite possibly with the Delta 100, certainly the HP5 can be very gentle with its blacks.

I am smitten with black and white film/my darkroom at the moment, what a wonderful thing a silver print is.

But... then I catch up with this thread and am really dazzled with all the beautiful colour, the vivid flora, the city and country scenes, and that rugby shot is absolutely superb Gary, I've got to get myself some of this Ektasomething. :)

It's from a while back Richard, although if it reincarnates like they say it will I might be tempted to return to slide film.

Very nice Henry, this is my kind of picture, the nice framing and the people placed just so like chess pieces. No more of this colour nonsense ;)

@Gary, I was being a bit droll, sorry. I missed Ektachrome completely and joke's on me, I'd forgotten its being revived.

I shot my first ever 3 rolls of slide film recently, will have to get round to sharing some, its a bit new and strange to me.
