stray cat Posted February 23, 2017 Share #28621 Posted February 23, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Love this one, Philip. Very clever as initially I am not sure if the lady is sitting comfortably in the comfort of one of the leather chairs or is sitting most uncomfortably homeless on the street corner. One of my favs from you Charles - It would be sincere pleasure to put up with you in NY anytime. I guarantee your satisfaction. Ha, ha, Christoph. By the looks of this unbelievably good and scary photo, I don't think I'll be making any walks in that area any time soon... Thanks, Phil. Wow, VERY GOOD. Love the scene within a scene, detail in the sky and clouds and overall tones. If the piece of that car wasn't in the frame the photo could be from any decade in the last 100 years... Thank you very much, Adam. Yes - damn that pickup truck! I was all too aware of it but it wasn't about to move and I thought the "picture within a picture" thing happening there wasn't going to wait! Thanks, I really appreciate the positive feedback. There's every chance I may return to that spot and lurk in the bushes waiting for a badly dressed person to take that path. Like Adam, I love your frame within a frame shot there. I'm guessing you don't miss seeing the world in Orange through your R body, I know I've never used mine for B+W for that reason, preferring the luxury of the never changing Messsucher view. Thank you Coogee. Please do return to that spot for more pictures. I'm not sure if she's finished with the bottle at the base of her plynth yet, but I'd be tempted to get rid of that. Why wait for a badly dressed person? Perhaps a nudist will stroll past? The R body was just too heavy to carry around compared to my M. It didn't help I suppose that my favorite lens for it was a 35mm Summilux, itself a heavy beast, so the combination was kind of ridiculous. I didn't particularly mind seeing the world through orange, but I do prefer the Messsucher view (I had to look that up!).

stray cat Posted February 23, 2017 Share #28624 Posted February 23, 2017 A very minimalist study in blue, Philip. Did you filter for the tungsten balanced film, or did you correct it somewhat in processing?

philipus Posted February 23, 2017 Share #28626 Posted February 23, 2017 Thanks Phil. I actually just shot it as is to see what it would look like. It's a bit of a pain to colour balance this film in post if shot in daylight so I only adjusted to reduce the worst of the several colour casts. A very minimalist study in blue, Philip. Did you filter for the tungsten balanced film, or did you correct it somewhat in processing?

Doc Henry Posted February 23, 2017 Author Share #28631 Posted February 23, 2017 (edited) Adam, It was indeed a Barnack walk, and a very pleasant one - due no doubt to the company. It was cold and ugly outside, and although the church is a gem of medieval architecture, it was even colder inside ... Luckily there are some very nice cafe's close by to warm up . Den Bosch is also the place where the painter Hieronymus Bosch lived and worked, and effigies depicting the fantastic inhabitants of his paintings are strewn all over. 170211_1_LeicaO_0015.jpg Leica-0, Foma400, ns Should you pass by on your travels let us know! Wonderful b&w picture Christoph Free to imagination. It is art and in film it is a plus Thanks Henry PS: May be this year , I'll meet Gary and also Philip in Bruxelles , I think for a shooting moment Edited February 23, 2017 by Doc Henry
