Martin thanks for your advice above. For me I adjust and correct rarely since I develop myself like you. Much with digital pictures. Sometimes when the picture is taken in very bad light condition , I correct a bit the luminosity That's all I do ! I usually end up thinking about the poor young lads of the Leicestershire Yeomanry who were robbed of that pleasure by the 1914-18 war. That's what it was intended for, though. I like friends of Pippa which cross all their arm on the body (pic 3) It proves secondly that the color film has also evolved since the years I think now film obtains perfection in color level for print and for scan. Thanks for sharing The last picture is sharper and the colors are more beautiful what is the film Chris ? chrism Posted August 17, 2016 Share #20057 Posted August 17, 2016 Chris , it's good to see these films that are several years old. Lot of memory Chris. Thanks for sharing The last picture is sharper and the colors are more beautiful what is the film Chris ? Best Henry I think they were consciously trying to emulate the days of the British Empire when they posed that way! The film used for the icehole fishing was a slide film sold by Dixon's - a British chain of tech shops rather like Radio Shack in the US. I don't know if they still exist, nor can I tell who made the film for them. The slide mounts just say 'Dixons'. It was probably Agfa or Orwo cheapness being of the essence to that chain! Such times are a big part of the person you become, and it is great to see that you both managed to record it in photographic memories. Please do keep them coming. Michael Geschlecht Posted August 17, 2016 Share #20059 Posted August 17, 2016 Hello Henry, Happy 10,000. If I remember correctly (As per your Post #20086 above.): When scanning & printing of color film first began there used to be an entirely different set of instructions for Kodachrome that was different than the instructions for all of the other types & brands of color film. Negative or Transparency. Best Regards, Michael
