Garden of Claude Monet at Giverny (France) and its famous pond !

All of you know impressionist painter Claude Monet

Here is his garden at Giverny, where Monet was inspired in these paintings

You also recognized the famous Japanese bridge in background and roses everywhere (that Ingrid must like)

Ingrid sorry for the color (not in b&w) ...but without color, Monet would not be happy :)

Henry, Very beautiful place and picture. I'm sure the reflections there were inspirational to Monet's painting style.

Thanks for looking Karl.

Yes Karl, Monet was greatly inspired by these reflections in his paintings

Henry,A lovely shot of a beautiful location and of course in color, what else. Paul

Yes Paul, in his house many paintings in color has stayed on the wall and now have an inestimable value.

Thanks for watching Paul

A lovely place.

The last time I was there I decided I'd try to get a shot of the bridge without any tourists on it. After 20 minutes of waiting I gave up.

Steve there are a lot of people. It gives charm to this garden and Monet's Garden should be known by lovers of Impressionism :)

I continue to photograph despite the people present.

Great thanks Steve for your comments

Karl,Paul and Steve , you can watch this video:

I went to the garden with a lot of material including my R8 and the new Kodak Portra 400 Film

Here is a third picture taken from the other side of the pond.

You can see the second Japanese Monet's Bridge

and if you compare the color of Kodak Portra it's the same as M9:)

The pictures, and the place, are wonderful. There is a well known picture of Monet and Georges Clémenceau standing standing on the Japanese bridge. As your pictures show, the bridge and the pond are the stars of the show.

Michael thank you for your comment and to remember that the former French president Clemenceau was at Giverny.

Thanks K-Hawinkler and MPerson for looking

Flowers everywhere including all species of roses, really beautiful :)

Thank you Heinz for your nice comment

Yes I love the Impressionists too (with Renoir) where we can find the beauty (as in a painting) which was thought lost and finally goes well with our modern civilization !

Here is a picture of Monet's garden with the entrance of his house painted in beautiful pink and green ! You cross a beautiful path lined with roses and flowers of all colors

Really wonderful !
