M9reno Posted March 15, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) This M7 for sale on eBay strikes me as a bit odd... New Leica M7 Film camera - CHROME (Body Only) 4022243105010 | eBay "Pictures and serial number will be given on request to serious offers only" ??? What is that about? Even so, you can see the s.n. on box and hot shoe: 3328051. Also - for collection only, preferably using PayPal or CASH?

Guest SUMOLUX Posted March 16, 2013 Share #6 Posted March 16, 2013 There have been a number of scams on fleabay lately with cameras. One was about a month or so ago with a strange Monochrom up for a very low starting price, also with direct pick up preferred. I put a bid on it, just to be able to follow it easily. It was later removed by fleabay. I received a message from them saying the account was 'highjacked' without the user knowing it, all rather strange…. wattsy Posted March 16, 2013 Share #7 Posted March 16, 2013 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) The photos show the seller's ebay name so I doubt it's a hijacked account. Looks like the M7 was originally bought from Red Dot (dealer stamp). On balance, I think it is probably legitimate but I won't be bidding (even if I wanted an M7).
