Beautiful images of orchids and I like the B&W work above.

Here are two images from the restored dock quarter in Gloucester, England.

Welcome, IanC. Gloucester Docks, like many such old industrial sites, provide a very happy hunting ground. Visited there in the Spring, using later Leica cameras. Well worth revisiting on quiet days.

I could not resist !

I have just bought a ELPRO-D E69 for my D2 and LC1. :)

It is like new in its packing of origin and I paid 250 €.

It now delays to me to receive it.

I will thus sell my close-up Canon 250D (58mm + rings)…

Guy,

Congratulations and I feel sure you'll be as impreassed with it as I still am after 4 years.

The Elpro-D doesn't come with a case - just its cardboard box - but Luigi makes a special leather pouch for it, which is excellent.

Thanks to Geir and David.

Gloucester Docks quarter is well worth a visit. And so is the magnificent cathedral in Gloucester. Here is a D2 shot of the cloisters, and one of the stained glass reflections on one of the enormous pillars in the nave.

Superb shoot IanC ! :)

Information for those which seek a single ring 58/69 mm to fix a macro lens (Canon or other) on their D2 or LC1:

43 46 49 52 55 58 62 67 69 72 74 77 82 86 step ring ONE | eBay

One has just announced me this site of sale, but that does not interest me any more because I have just bought a ELPRO-D E69.

I thus put on sale a excellent close-up Canon 250D in diameter 58 mm (X4).

Hello,

I received my superb Elpro-D today. It is very beautiful ! :)

But it misses the note of instructions for use which gives the fields measured according to the focal distance as well as the maintenance and precaution for use.

Can a charitable heart help me by making me a scan by e-mail of the page in French of instructions for use ?

Thank you with you.

The location for this photo was very dark and I had no tripod with me, so I tried to shoot three in row for the first time. It worked out pretty well. Location: Oslo, Norway. Data: Jpg straight out of the camera, iso 200, f. 2.0 at shutter speed 1/6.

I took these two photos of a friend in the summer of 2010 as he was about to go and work abroad. Sadly it was the last time I would see him; he died suddenly last week.

I don't know if they have a distinctive look, but all his friends back in the UK are now looking through their old photos and these seem to draw very favourable comments.

Lester, your portraits are fine by any standards, although particularly poignant in view of the story. Your Digilux 2 proved more than capable of producing memorable pictures of your late friend.

Despite the sadness, Welcome to the Forum and continue to enjoy your Digilux 2!

Condolences to Lester and his friend's family.

Those are very fine D2 portraits.

I also want to contribute to the impressions of autumn! Images taken during a trip to southern Germany, near Waldenbuch and in Rottenburg/Neckar.

Best regards, Peter.

These autumn shots were taken in the Botanical Gardens in Dublin. The autumn light was wonderful, had to go out and take some shots
