Going to try some controlled back to back stuff with my M9 in a moment, to compare directly.  - Steve

wda Posted March 4, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted March 4, 2013 Thanks, Steve. Promising results although you were blessed with some good clear flattering lighting to test dynamic range.
theno23 Posted March 4, 2013 Author Share #3 Â Posted March 4, 2013 Yes, got lucky in a sense! The light was pretty harsh - fairly sure I wouldn't have been able to pull those shadows up as cleanly on a M9. I was deliberately trying shots that I wouldn't normally go for. Photoskeptic Posted March 4, 2013 Share #6 Â Posted March 4, 2013 The mono shot looks pretty darn good. I wonder if we'll see a comparison to the Monochrom soon?

theno23 Posted March 5, 2013 Author Share #8 Â Posted March 5, 2013 If anyone in London has a MM and some free time, more than happy to meet up one day to compare. Â The colours are definitely different - blues are too saturated and maybe reds a bit too, but it has less colour shift than the M9, which is a lot harder to fix. Â Â It has the same kind of easy processing as the M9, you can typically pretty much use the files as is, no need to sharpen, don't need to do much to the colour. I just leaned to live with the shift on the M9, seemed normal after a while. Â Â - Steve
